Many complex urological conditions can be treated through robotic-assisted surgery. A type of minimally invasive surgery, robotic-assisted procedures give our surgeons greater control and precision. These procedures can mean less pain, fewer complications, shorter hospital stays and faster healing for you.

Our surgeons at AdventHealth Hendersonville use the exceptionally precise da Vinci® Xi surgical system. The da Vinci® robot holds surgical tools, and its movements are guided by a surgeon's hands. It translates your surgeon’s hand movements in real-time, bending and rotating the instruments while performing the procedure. The tiny, wristed instruments move like a human hand but with a greater range of motion. The da Vinci® vision system also delivers highly magnified, 3D views of the surgical area, and the instrument size allows surgeons to operate through one or a few small incisions.

We perform various urological procedures with this robotic-assisted technology, including radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy and partial nephrectomy, and nephrectomy cyst decortication.

    Dr. Harkhani has years of experience using the Intuitive da Vinci® Si and Xi platforms, offering minimally invasive options for treating kidney and prostate cancer. She also provides high-end stone surgery, being one of the only urologists in the region to offer tubeless percutaneous nephrolithotomy (tubeless PCNL) and Endoscopic Combined Intra-Renal Surgery (ECIRS) for complex kidney stones.

    With extensive experience in penile implant procedures for erectile dysfunction, Dr. Harkhani also offers multiple surgical options for implants. Additionally, she provides nonoperative treatment plans, including active surveillance for certain cancers, behavioral therapy, physical therapy and medications.

    Dr. Krueger has been providing exceptional care with the AdventHealth family since 2001. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Ohio and completed his residency at Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Krueger offers MRI fusion prostate biopsies for the detection and diagnosis of prostate cancer. In his free time, Dr. Krueger enjoys running.

    Clifford P. Johnson, MD, SUFU

    Board Certified in Urology

    Dr. Johnson has been providing exceptional care since 1991 and joined the AdventHealth family in 2006. He attended medical school and completed his residency at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Johnson has extensive experience in cryotherapy of prostate and kidney cancers. He served as a trainer for cryotherapy, traveling to other urology practices to teach them the procedure. In his free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys hiking and biking.

    Sarah Kelli Johnson is a certified physician assistant who has provided exceptional care to our community since 2003 and joined the AdventHealth family in 2007. She completed her physician assistant studies at Methodist University. Sarah offers pelvic floor muscle training and performs complex urodynamic procedures for concerns around bladder storage/emptying. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, biking and dancing.
