Brachytherapy is a method of using radiation to treat cancer by placing radioactive “seeds” inside or very close to a tumor. These seeds are smaller than a grain of rice and treat tumors from the inside out. This treatment option can significantly reduce the need for frequent radiation treatments and typically has shorter recovery times than traditional treatment.
