    He holds a doctorate degree and a PhD and has completed a podiatric medicine and surgical residency and three fellowships: an AO International Trauma Fellowship, an American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Division 14 European Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship and a Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Research and Surgery Fellowship.

    Dr. Roukis is a past president of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and editor-in-chief of the peer-reviewed specialty journal Foot and Ankle Surgery: Techniques, Reports and Cases (FASTRAC). He has led 22 clinical trials and studies, holds patents for surgical devices he co-designed and has presented nationally and internationally.
