He completed medical school and orthopedic residency at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Iran. He spent over two years as a Research Fellow in Hand and Elbow Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School.

    Dr. Kachooei completed a clinical PhD in Elbow Surgery, a Clinical Fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery, and a Clinical Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery Fellowship. His research led to nine patents, more than 90 peer-reviewed articles and many international presentations. He has been Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Archives of Bone and Joint Surgery for over a decade.
