    Dr. Alvarez is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Florida and earned his medical degree from Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. He completed his orthopedic surgical residency at the University of California, Irvine, and a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital with Dr. Frank Eismont.

    Dr. Alvarez has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and presented his research around the country. In medical school, he served as president of the American Medical Association at Northwestern, participating in local and national medical advocacy. He is active in the national spine community, attending many conferences and labs to ensure he brings the most current treatments to his patients.

    Dr. Alvarez’s goal is to treat each patient like family and develop a treatment plan with them that will improve their life.

    Daniel Fassett, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic neurosurgeon specializing in treating spinal disorders, including degenerative conditions, spinal tumors and spinal deformities. Dr. Fassett worked for fifteen years at the University of Illinois College of Medicine where he served as Department Head, Director of Spinal Surgery, and Fellowship Director for Spinal Surgery. He has trained 15 fellows in spinal surgery, including international fellows from India, Brazil and Syria. He has published over 50 articles in professional journals, written countless book chapters and has given numerous international presentations on spinal surgery.

    Brian K. Goldberg, MD, Physiatrist

    Brian K. Goldberg, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained interventional physiatrist providing comprehensive, non-surgical spine care. He attended medical school at NYU School of Medicine and completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training at NYU Rusk Institute. He completed a fellowship in spine medicine from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Spine Institute.

    Dr. Goldberg previously served in several leadership roles, helping form efficient spine treatment protocols for patients by taking a multidisciplinary team approach. Dr. Goldberg’s clinical interests include treating cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine conditions, SI joint dysfunction, and myofascial pain conditions using diagnostic and therapeutic non-surgical interventions for rapid pain relief and functional recovery.

    Samatha Tipirneni, MD, MBA, Physiatrist

    Samatha Tipirneni, MD, MBA, has more than 15 years of experience as a spine physiatrist and has been practicing interventional spine medicine since completing her fellowship in 2008. Dr. Tipirneni is board-certified and completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and an ACGME Interventional Pain Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine/Grady Hospital in Atlanta. She has also worked with college and professional athletes, as well as prominent attending physicians in training who are pioneers and innovators in their field.

    Dr. Tipirneni’s goal is to form a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan for each patient using the latest interventional treatments and nonsurgical options for the spine. She treats work- and sports-related injuries, including muscle pain, joint, spine and nerve disorders, and various other spine conditions.

    Dr. Tipirneni understands how painful and debilitating a spine condition can be, having a family member who suffers from spinal stenosis. She is proud to call Central Florida home and aims to treat her patients like family.
