Your Treatment, at the Heart of Our Care
Most cases of atrial fibrillation are mild, which means you may only need medication or a simple monitoring device like a pacemaker. Whatever you need, you can count on us to guide and support you — caring for your body, easing your mind and lifting your spirit from one heartbeat to the next.
We offer leading-edge treatments for atrial fibrillation and arrhythmias, including the latest lifesaving diagnostic and treatment procedures to keep your heart beating strong.
-
Cardiac Ablation
Cardiac ablation destroys small areas of problematic heart tissue that may be causing your heart rhythm problems. Ablation is a minimally invasive approach using a catheter in a tiny incision in the groin.
-
Electrophysiology Studies
To diagnose and treat heart rhythm abnormalities, our electrophysiology team can perform diagnostic tests like an echocardiogram or an electrocardiogram (also called ECG or EKG) to better understand your heart’s electrical activity and functioning. We also skillfully research treatments to offer leading-edge therapies, including pacemakers and other implanted devices.
-
Medications
To help manage your symptoms, our team can prescribe specific medications, such as anticoagulant medicines, that will keep your circulation flowing smoothly.
-
Pacemaker Implantation
A pacemaker is a small device that keeps your heart beating strong for years to come. It is placed in the chest or abdomen to help control abnormal heart rhythms.
-
WATCHMAN™ Implantation
The WATCHMAN is a small, FDA-approved implant that can reduce your stroke risk if you have non-valvular atrial fibrillation. The WATCHMAN closes off your left atrial appendage (LAA) to stop blood clots from the LAA from entering your bloodstream. With this heart regulator, you may be able to stop taking warfarin.
