Feel the Support of a World-Class Care Team
At AdventHealth Hendersonville, we believe uncommon compassion is as important as the latest treatments and technologies. Our multidisciplinary team includes renowned oncologists, hematologists, cancer surgeons and radiation oncologists who work hand-in-hand with certified oncology nurses, social workers, dietitians, speech therapists and oncology Nurse Navigators. We’re with you every step of the way, from diagnosis to treatment to survivorship.
Compassionate Care Navigation
Our team of Oncology Nurse Navigators' goal is to guide patients through their cancer journey, help them overcome obstacles and provide emotional support. They guide patients with abnormal findings through and around barriers in the complex cancer care system to help ensure timely diagnosis and treatment. They assist patients with referrals to surgeons, oncologists, hematologists, radiation oncologists, specialists and subspecialists and often make referrals for financial counseling, nutrition and support groups.
At AdventHealth Hendersonville, we are blessed to have six Oncology Nurse Navigators who support our cancer patients. One is devoted to breast cancer patients, one to oral cancer patients and four support patients with all other types of cancer and those with other primary tumor sites.
